Job Title: Chef de Cuisine
Job Duties: Assist in the management of the kitchens daily operations. Monitor consumption and maximize capacity of resources and equipment. Create weekly executive set lunch, monthly, promotional and seasonal menus in cooperation with the Executive Chef. Monitor the quality of dishes produced in the kitchen. Ensure the kitchen and utensils are clean and hygienic. Continuously improve health and safety standards. Deliver high quality products to every guest. Maintain a hygienic, clean kitchen and equipment. Address guests requests and handle complaints promptly and to their satisfaction. Provide feedback to guests recommendations and share their ideas with staff and management. Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate kitchen staff. Conduct departmental training. Test and correct any deviations from service procedures swiftly through on the job training. Assess food quality standards and arrange training sessions and refresher courses for kitchen staff in coordination with the Food & Beverage Training Manager. Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved, equal and safe. Suggest creative ideas to enhance the kitchens image and offering. Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively. Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information. Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications. Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards. Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards. Participate in the company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle whenever possible. Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must have F&B 2 years experience in a five (5) star hotel environment or well-known properties kitchen. Excellent product knowledge of International Cuisine; accurate knife skills; understanding of HACCP standards and guidelines. Secondary school or equivalent; or related working experience. Ability to operate Microsoft Windows system & Office software. Ability to communicate in English, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese is an advantage. Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high pressure work environment. Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to multi-task

Comments: (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position. (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment forty (40) hours per week. There are three rotating shifts per day: (A) Day Shift will be from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (B) Swing Shift will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (C) Night Shift will be from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Employee hired under this announcement will be rotated through each of the three shifts. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5)FIRST WORK WEEK REIMBURSEMENT Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). (6) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Furthermore, the employer will supply workers at no charge all safety clothing and equipment and will require all workers to wear such clothing and equipment always during work. (7) HOUSING The employer will provide optional housing at $25.00 per week, during the employment. (8)The employees will be provided one (1) duty meal per day at no expense for the duration of the employment.
