Job Title: Electrician
Job Duties: The following job duties may be performed at various locations as Marianas Management Corporation provides services to all company buildings and tenants. Transportation will be provided to work site locations during working hours. Monitor and inspects power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power, or to regulate the flow of power between generating stations and substations. Operates or control power generating equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators and reactors, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment. Regulate equipment operations and conditions such as water levels, based on data from recording and indicating instruments or from computers. Take readings from charts, meters and gauges at established intervals, and take corrective steps as necessary. Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines and other power plant equipment, and connect or disconnect equipment from circuits. Inspects records and log book entries, and communicate with other plant personnel, in order to assess equipment operating status. Control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed water heaters, filters, and chlorinates, to supply water, fuel lubricants air and auxiliary power. Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment such as generators, turbines, pumps and compressors in order to prevent equipment failure or deterioration. Communicate with systems operators to regulate and coordinate transmission loads and frequencies and line voltages. Does other duties as assigned from time to time.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Proven Electrician experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Ability to check and repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices. Experience performing routine maintenance. Strong organizational and follow up skills. Eye for detail. Professional presentation and attitude. Ability to maintain focus while working individually. Strong time management skills. Must be able to work outside. Must be able to work on holidays and weekends on short notice.
