Job Title: Carpenter
Job Duties: The following duties may be performed at various locations as Marianas Management Corporation provide services to all company buildings and tenants. Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools. Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools. Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures. Does other duties as assigned from time to time.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Proven carpenter experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices. Experience performing routine maintenance. Strong organizational and follow up skills. Eye for detail. Professional presentation and attitude. Ability to maintain focus while working individually. Strong time management skills. Must be able to work outside. Must be able to work on holidays and weekends on short notice.
