Job Title: | First-Line Supervisor of Retail Sales Workers |
Job Duties: | Directly supervise and coordinate activities of retail sales workers in an establishment or department. Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, or in performing services for customers. Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised. Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. Assign employees to specific duties. Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions. Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise. Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and budget departments. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level. Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the department. Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item. Enforce safety, health, and security rules. Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold. Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business. Formulate pricing policies for merchandise, according to profitability requirements. Plan and coordinate advertising campaigns and sales promotions and prepare merchandise displays and advertising copy. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must be a High School graduate. Must have 12 months experience in supervising or managing the dairy and deli section of a grocery store, oversees activities including ordering, processing, packaging of all items in the section. Must have strong communication skills. Proficient in MS Word/Excel. Ability to multitask and have excellent organizational skills is essential. Can work flexible days even on holidays and weekends. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 12 months work experience. Work days will be Monday to Sunday, and work hours will be from 7am-3pm. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
