Job Title: | Automotive Electrician |
Job Duties: | Repairs and overhauls electrical systems in automotive vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, and trucks. Confers with customer to determine nature of electrical malfunction. Determines malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection and by use of testing devices, such as oscilloscope, volumeter and ammeter. Adjusts ignition timing and measures and adjusts distributor breaker-point gaps, using dwell meter or thickness gauge. Tests and repairs starters, generators, and distributors. Repairs or replaces defective wiring in ignition, lighting, air-conditioning, and safety control systems, using electrician's handtools. Rebuilds electrical units, such as starters, generators, and door controls. May estimate cost repairs based on parts and labor charges. May be designated according to specialty as Electrical Repairer. |

Qualification Requirements: | The successful applicants must have: Formal training on automotive repair; Must be able to read electrical wiring diagram. Minimum of two years experience in automotive industry; Must be punctual, have interpersonal skills and good communication skills; Must be able to meet physical demands such as ability to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, must be able to climb, bend, stoop and reach; and must be able to work under extreme pressure in a fast-paced working environment |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
