Job Title: Maintenance & Repair Workers, General
Job Duties: 1. Inspect, operate, test or troubleshoot machinery or equipment such as water pump, water heaters, swimming pool pumps, generators, laundry machines, to diagnose machine malfunctions. 2. Dismantle machines, equipment or devices and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools or power tools. 3. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting motors, belts, drives, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or performing preventive maintenance actions. 4. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blue prints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs. Repair machines, equipment or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, welding machines, electrical or electronic testing devices, screw drivers and other necessary tools. 5. Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in the office or residential units. 6. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment. 7. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears or other parts of machinery. 8. Order required parts from vendors. 9. Plan and layout repair work, using diagrams, drawings or blue prints. 10. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties. 11. Repair roofs, windows, doors or other parts of the building structures. 12. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. 13. Test and treat water supply. 14. Install equipment to improve operational efficiency of building. 15. Set up and operate machine or tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, or tools. 16. Estimate costs or make quotations to repair machinery, equipment or building structures. 17. Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions or floors. 18. Maintain records of job performed. Report to Operations Manager, if needed.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Six (6) months training in electrical or electronics field. Must be able to repair equipment, such as water pumps, swimming pool pumps, generators, water heaters, and other residential appliances. Must have 2 years experience as electrician or building Maintenance and Repair Worker- General. Must be able to prepare quotations. Must be knowledgeable on machine parts and tools. Must be knowledgeable in building electrical wiring and can read blue prints and building plans.Can prepare simple sketches and do measurements. Must be physically fit to lift 50 lbs and above. Must be able to work in open and confined spaces exposed to extreme heat, dirt or noise. Must be able to squat, stand or sit for long periods of time. Can read , write and perform basic math.

Required tools, supplies and Equipment to be provided: Employer Provided TOOLS and Equipment: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job assigned. DAILY TRANSPORTATION: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with Federal & CNMI Laws. BOARD LODGING & OTHER FACILITIES: Employer will ASSIST workers in securing board, lodging or other facilities. THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the 1st day of work after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extension, if any.
