Job Title: Heating and Air-Conditioning Mechanic and Installer
Job Duties: Install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments. Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Discuss the heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs corrected malfunctions. Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants. Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers. Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area. Install auxiliary components of a heating or cooling equipment, such as expansion or discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, or stokers. Layout and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician's hand tools. Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions. Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe or tubing, using pipe fitter's tools. Install or repair air purification systems, such as specialized filters or ultraviolet (UV) light purification systems. Assemble, position, and mount heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints or manufacturer's specifications. Fabricate, assemble, or install ductwork or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment. Install radiator controls for room-level zone control heating of residential or commercial buildings. Install or repair self-contained ground source heat pumps or hybrid ground or air source heat pumps to minimize carbon-based energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions. Wrap pipes, securing insulation in place with cement or wire bands.

Qualification Requirements: A graduate of 2 year vocational course in HVAC Mechanic and Installer course. Must have a previous work-related skills, knowledge, experience at least 1-2 years. Install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments. Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution. Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment. Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 2 - years of work experience. Work days will be Monday to Friday and work hours will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) wherein three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by the Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
