Job Title: | SCUBA DIVING INSTRUCTOR |
Job Duties: | Instruct student individually and in groups using various teaching methods such as lectures and DVD video; demonstrate to students/customers the proper, safe and care of diving equipments such as the bouyancy control device (BCD), diving computer, mask, snorkel, fins and other accessories necessary for diving to prevent accident or injury and damage to diving equipment and accessories; Acts as the head of the diving team; guide divers/customers underwater; observe students to determine their physical fitness, abilities, and qualifications during preliminary diving lessons; explains and enforces safety and regulations especially during diving or underwater; bring customers/divers to/from diving sites; pick up/drop customers to from hotels or designated locations; Inspect clean and maintain all diving equipment to ensure that these are properly functioning; refill diving tanks with the use of air compressor and other related duties. |

Qualification Requirements: | Two (2) years experience as Scuba Diving Instructor; Must have a valid scuba diving instructor license, valid CNMI driver's license; Must be perceptive and alert-being aware of students/divers reaction underwater noting for unusual or sudden change in behavior; must be physically fit; an excellent swimmer; skills in rescue and first aid; ability to act fast and calmly during emergency. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is temporary, full-time position. There are two (2) job openings for this position commencing on October 01, 2020 to September 30, 2023. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x rate indicated on the JVA. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: The workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
