Job Duties: • Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them. • Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed. • Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. • Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process. Direct the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread it. • Produce rough concrete surface, using broom. Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge. • Clean chipped area, using wire brush, and feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven. Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms. • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface. Operate power vibrator to compact concrete. • Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools. • Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill. • Waterproof or restore concrete surfaces, using appropriate compounds. • Wet concrete surface, and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish. • Wet surface to prepare for bonding, fill holes and cracks with grout or slurry, and smooth, using trowel. Fabricate concrete beams, columns, and panels. Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete or pattern or stamp the surface to provide a decorative finish. • Build wooden molds, and clamp molds around area to be repaired, using hand tools. • Cut metal division strips, and press them into terrazzo base so that top edges form desired design or pattern. • Push roller over surface to embed chips in surface. • Polish surface, using polishing or surfacing machine.

Comments: Work Hours: Employees hired under this announcement will work on rotating 8-hour shifts. Day Shift will be from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Swing Shift will be from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Night Shift will be from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Every employee hired under this announcement will be rotated through each of the three (3) shifts on an ongoing basis until the project is complete. Every employee will work for seven (7) days and then be given two (2) days off after each Day and Swing Shift rotation and be given three (3) days off after each Night Shift rotation, therefore work on Saturdays and Sundays will be required. Dates: Workers are needed to begin work on January 31, 2018. Workers are anticipated to continue work until this particular project is completed on or before August 31, 2018. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, such that the employer finds it necessary to seek an extension of the deadline for completion of this project and such an extension is granted, this employment opportunity shall continue until the project is completed, but no further than January 31, 2021. Job Location: Work will be performed at the Imperial Pacific Resort Hotel-Saipan worksite. Wage: Workers will be paid no less than $14.27 per hour. Overtime hours may vary, depending upon weather and other conditions and will be paid at 1.5 X $14.27. Single Workweek for Pay: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Frequency of Pay: Workers will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check. Housing: The employer will provide housing at no cost to the employees for the duration of employment. Employees will be provided three (3) meals per day at no expense for the duration of the employment. Deductions: The employer will make all deductions from the employee’s paycheck required by law. Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence: The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily Transportation: The employer will provide daily transportation at no charge to and from the worker’s provided lodging for the duration of the employment. First Work Reimbursement: Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Provision of Tools, Supplies and Equipment: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Furthermore, the employer will supply workers at no charge all safety clothing and equipment and will require all workers to wear such clothing and equipment always during work.
