Job Title: | ELECTRICAL ENGINEER |
Job Duties: | Troubleshoots, analyzes and makes recommendations on equipment and system operational problems; Prepares plans, specifications and cost estimates for plant modifications. Prepares bid evaluations and obtains approval of bid selections; Provides diagnostic tests on plant equipment to support preventative maintenance and operational reliability needs; Initiates design changes or modifications in the analysis of plant system problems. Functions as coordinator when assigned to provide evaluation, coordination and planning for maintenance work; Devises new approaches to engineering problems; Plans, performs and documents performance test work on all major plant equipment; Provides testing and input data for maintenance management and equipment outage analysis; Confers with engineers of other utilities, government agencies, contractors and vendors; Engages in preparation of input data for and in evaluation of results from computerized analysis of engineering problems; For final critique of key information to all applicable division members; Acts as the project manager on assigned maintenance and capital projects, with responsibility for supervising contract and city employees assigned to the project, ensuring work is completed according to specifications, verifying work is completed on schedule to include administering project budget and expenditures; May recommend the hire, transfer, promotion, grievance adjustment, discipline or discharge of subordinate personnel. Performs related work as required. |

Qualification Requirements: | Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent. REQUIREMENTS: Ten (10) years experience in operations and maintenance of industrialized based power plant distribution & transmission including automation experience. |
