| Job Duties: | -Design civil engineering aspects of major projects including review and analysis of drawings, technical specifications and other necessary documents to effectively prepare the costs for materials, labor and equipment. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards. Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities and project sites. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades and elevations to guide construction. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility. Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects. Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries. Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety. Travel is required once or twice a year to Guam/continental US to attend seminars or visit suppliers. |
