| Job Title: | LAUNDRY & DRY-CLEANING WORKER |
| Job Duties: | Operate and tend machines to wash or clean products such as linens, duvet covers, towels, etc. Add specified amount of chemicals to equipment at required times to maintain solution levels and concentration. Set controls to regulate temperature and length cycles, start conveyors, pumps, and machines. Receive and mark articles for laundry or dry-cleaning with identifying code numbers or names, using hand or machine markers. Sort and count articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap or hang them. Load articles into washers or drycleaning machines, or direct other workers to perform loading. Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stain, to locate color imperfections, and to identify items requiring special treatment. Clean and maintain laundry and drycleaning machines. Maintain cleanliness of workplace; performs job safely. Helps other staff if necessary. |
