Job Duties: | Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs. Prepare relishes and hors d'oeuvres. Carve and trim meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for hot or cold service, or for sandwiches. Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries. |

Qualification Requirements: | HAVE 12 MONTHS WORK EXPERIENCE. HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLE AND PROCESSES FOR PROVIDING CUSTOMER AND PERSONAL SERVICES IN MEETING QUALITY STANDARDS AND EVALUATION OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD SERVICE LINE SE-UP AND TERMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS. ABLE TO WORK FLEXIBLE SHIFTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, AND MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK OVERTIME ON OCCASION WITH DEPARTMENT NEEDS. REQUIRES STANDING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS, WALKING, LIFTING UP 10-25 LBS, BENDING, STOOPING, KNEELING AND CROUCHING. HOTEL/RESORT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. |

This a temporary, full-time position of at least 35 hours per work week with employment period beginning June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2026. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE for Employment offered is for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly, subjected to mandatory payroll tax deduction required by law (20 CFR 655.423(h). Transportation and subsistence will be provided to the worker from the place of origin to the place of employment. Upon conclusion of the job opportunity, employer will provide the return transportation and substance to the place of origin or place of recruitment (20 CFR 655.423(j)(1)). |
