Job Title: | Chemical Applicator |
Job Duties: | Mix pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or fertilizers for application to golf course greens, tees and fairways, roughs and botanical crops. Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas. Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes to direct spray over designated areas. Identify turf and ornamental diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge or weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions. Start motors and engage machinery, such as sprayer agitators or pumps or portable spray equipment. May perform other related duties. |

Qualification Requirements: | Minimum 12 months of work experience as a Chemical Applicator in a golf course setting. Must be able to wear PPEs (i.e.; coverall, safety googles, mask and gloves) for longer periods. Must be able to work outdoors, exposed to nature's elements for extended period of time. Must be able to like at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work early mornings, weekends and holidays. |

Comments: | TEMPORARY FULL-TIME POSITION First Day of Need: 10/1/2023 Expiration Date: 9/30/2026 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the work at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specificed in the work contract or its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes fifty percent of the work contract period, the employer, will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or whether the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of the transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: Available workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. EMPLOYER PROVIDED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Workers will be provided, without charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
