Job Title: Carpenter
Job Duties: Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms or chutes for pouring concrete. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or powers saws. Verifies trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. Uses ladders and scaffolds to perform duties above ground level.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School Graduate;1 year experience as Carpenter. Successful applicant must be able to obtain military base access and are required to take and pass a substance abuse test after hire. Off-island hires must complete a pre-arrival and post arrival health screening prior to working on Guam.
