Job Title: Crane Operator
Job Duties: Operate crane, mechanical boom and cable equipment to lift and move materials, machines or products in many directions. Determine load weights and check them against lifting capabilities to prevent overload. Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage. Inspect cables or grapping devices for wear and install or replace cables, as needed. (NCCO Certified under Lattice Boom Crawler) *Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate, but may be paid more where special Davis-Bacon Act rates apply.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School Graduate; 2 years experience as Crane Operator. Successful applicant must be able to obtain military base access and required to take and pass a substance abuse test after hire. Off-island hires must complete a pre-arrival and post-arrival health screening prior to working on Guam.
