Job Title: Medical Equipment Repairer
Job Duties: 1. Develop and maintain working knowledge of current home medical equipment products and services offered by the company including all applicable governmental regulations. 2. Test, evaluate, and classify excess or in-use medical equipment and determine serviceability, condition, and disposition, in accordance with governmental regulations. 3. Inspect and test malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following manufacturers' specifications and using test and analysis instruments. 4. Test or calibrate components or equipment, following manufacturers' manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices. 5. Keep records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment including reports of equipment setup and follow-up visits. 6. Perform preventive maintenance or service, such as cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting equipment. 7. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 8. Manage assigned area to achieve company target goals, delivering equipment and services as required and in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations. 9. Deliver and setup required equipment in client's residence. 10. Educate clients in proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment in a home setting. 11. Assist in resolving client equipment problems under emergency conditions. 12. Process all orders in a timely, accurate manner. 13. Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate. 14. Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to document all information necessary to ensure insurance reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services. 15. Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company and accreditation standards; maintain accreditation standards in the shop and warehouse. 16. Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy for same. 17. Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents per company policy and procedures.
