| Job Title: | CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN |
| Job Duties: | • Interprets Engineer/Surveyor's rough sketches and plan redlines to create and edit drawings • Creates site development plans, site grading plans, sections with surfaces and 3D modeling for planning and analysis, water, storm water, and sanitary sewer systems, drainage and storm water control features such as detention ponds, routing ponds, etc. • Design road and utility alignment - water sections, topographic site plans, existing and proposed grade profiles and complex cross sections with road tapers and super elevations. • Prepare and review drawings and documents to assure compliance with federal standards and regulatory requirements for the design and construction of various civil infrastructure facilities. • Assists project managers as required such as review construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents. • Read and review project blueprints and civil specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. • Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure conformance to specifications. • Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions. • Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings. • Prepare reports and document project activities and data. • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam Revu |
