Job Title: | GROUNDSKEEPING SUPERVISOR |
Job Duties: | DIRECTLY SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE ACTIVITIES OF WORKERS ENGAGED IN LANDSCAPING OR GROUNDSKEEPING ACTIVITIES IN THE GOLF COURSE. SUPERVISE WORKERS WHO PERFORM DUTIES, SUCH AS LANDSCAPING, CULTIVATING LAWNS, OR PRUNING TREES AND SHRUBS. HANDLE EMPLOYEE TO PERFORM MIXING OR APPLICATION OF FERTILIZERS, INSECTICIDES, HERBICIDES, OR FUNGICIDES. MANAGE WORKERS IN TASKS SUCH AS TRANSPLANTING OR PRUNING TREES OR SHRUBS, FINISHING CEMENT, USING EQUIPMENT, OR CARING FOR TURF. SUPERVISE THE INSTALLATION OF SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, CALCULATING WATER PRESSURE, OR VALVE AND PIPE COVERAGE NEEDS. ASSIST THE GOLF COURSE DEPARTMENT HEAD IN DAILY OPERATION AND OVER ALL MAINTENANCE OF A 18 HOLE GOLF COURSE, CHEMICAL BUILDING, STORAGE FACILITY, IRRIGATION PUMP AND PUMP HOUSE AND SURROUNDING PERIMETER. ASSIST THE GOLF COURSE DEPARTMENT HEAD IN ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE FOR ALL THE EQUIPMENT USED IN THE GOLF COURSE. REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE GOLF COURSE DEPARTMENT HEAD AND MAY SERVE IN THE SUPERINTENDENT CAPACITY DURING HIS/HER ABSENCE. ANALYZE, DETERMINE AND SUPERVISE PESTICIDES APPLICATIONS, FERTILIZERS AND SOIL CONDITIONS AND HERBICIDES AND SURROUNDINGS ACREAGES. ASSIST AND PARTICIPATE IN THE OPERATION OF PUMPS AND IN THE MAINTENANCE OF THE IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM. SCHEDULE AND SUPERVISE STAFF TO ACHIEVE THE MOST EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF THE EQUIPMENT. SUPERVISE, IMPLEMENT AND ORGANIZED CLEANLINESS IN THE WORKING AREA. ASSIST THE GOLF COURSE DEPARTMENT HEAD IN PREPARING SCHEDULE FOR THE STAFF DEPENDING ON WORK PRIORITIES, EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY OR WEATHER CONDITIONS. SUPERVISE PROJECT ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE THAT INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED, DEADLINES ARE MET, AND SCHEDULES ARE MAINTAINED ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT STAFF IN PREPARING INCIDENT REPORT IF NECESSARY. ASSIST THE GOLF COURSE DEPARTMENT HEAD IN PREPARING THE DEPARTMENT PAYROLL TIMESHEETS AND SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT HEAD FOR APPROVAL. SUPERVISE THE INVENTORY OF THE SUPPLIES OF TOOLS, EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS TO ENSURE THAT SUFFICIENT SUPPLIES ARE AVAILABLE AND ITEMS ARE IN USABLE CONDITIONS. ASSIST IN ESTABLISHING AND ENFORCING OPERATING PROCEDURES AND WORK STANDARDS THAT ENSURE ADEQUATE PERFORMANCE AND PERSONNEL SAFETY. PREPARE DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE AND GET DEPARTMENT HEAD APPROVAL. MAY PERFORM OTHER RELATED TASK AS DETERMINED AND ASSIGNED BY THE MANAGER. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on September 06, 2023 to September 05, 2026. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total of number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period and begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: required by 20 CFR655.423(j)(l); If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
