| Job Duties: | Sells merchandise to individuals in store or showroom, utilizing knowledge of product sold. Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristic, and cost and mark up factors. Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction, suggest selections that meet customer’s needs, and emphasizes selling points of article, such as quality and utility. Prepare invoices, receipts and other documents by using programs currently used in the business. Receives payment or obtain credit authorization. May take inventory of stock and update records of inventory thru the use of software programs available, must be computer literate. May visit customer’s home by appointment to sell merchandise on shop-at-home basis, if necessary. |
