Job Title: | Aircraft Mechanic |
Job Duties: | Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies. Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, or seals. Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations. Perform work utilizing working knowledge of and in compliance with aircraft manufacturers service bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, maintenance manuals, and other technical information needed to perform maintenance and repairs. Measure parts for wear, using precision instruments. Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Test operation of engines and other systems, using test equipment, such as ignition analyzers, compression checkers, distributor timers, or ammeters. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools. Install and align repaired or replacement parts for subsequent riveting or welding, using clamps and wrenches. Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on aircraft. Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance. Supervises three (3) mechanic helpers. Travels, as needed, to Tinian International Airport and Rota International Airport, at Employer’s expense, for essential repairs. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position starting on October 1, 2023 and ending on September 30, 2024. The job opportunity requires the worker to travel, as needed, to Rota International Airport and Tinian International Airport for essential repairs. Workdays will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. At worker’s option, Employer will provide the worker with free housing and free use of a company vehicle for the first month of employment with the Employer. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the workers at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the Employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the Employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the Employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
