Job Title: Survey Instrument Man
Job Duties: Performs land survey-related data and document research. Conducts field cadastral, topographic and/or as-built surveys on assigned projects. Operates survey instruments during the conduct of assigned survey work. Organizes and takes survey field notes according to procedures established by the chief of surveys. Downloads and assists in the plotting of data from data collectors according to procedures established by the chief of surveys. Supervises survey aides assisting with field survey work. Uses computer-based land survey software applications to perform land survey-related computations. Works and coordinates with engineers and environmental scientists to satisfy survey requirements on engineering design and environmental projects. Will supervise two (2) survey aides. Travels to all villages of Saipan, NMI to perform work for Employer and to MSA of Rota, NMI and MSA of Tinian, NMI three times a year to perform work as a survey instrument man for employer.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2026. The job opportunity requires the worker to travel, in an Employer provided vehicle, to Employer's project sites in all villages in the MSA of Saipan. Worker may be required to travel, at the Employer’s expense, three times a year to MSA of Rota, NMI and MSA of Tinian, NMI to perform work as a survey instrument man for Employer at its project sites. Workdays will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
