Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties: Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Maintains and analyze budgets, preparation periodic reports that compare budgeted cost to actual costs. Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards ensuring timely financial reporting to the accounting manager and the president. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences. Prepare adjusting journal entries. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts. Analyze business operations, trends, costs revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Receives general guidance from the accounting manager and performs complex accounting duties with high level of independence and professional discretion to fulfill the accounting needs of the company. Prepare employees payroll, employer's withholding and federal tax return and preparation, filing and remittances, review submitted time sheets for proper accounting distribution and accuracy. Prepares required monthly, quarterly and annual tax filing for CNMI and Federal Government Tax Authorities. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshop, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Substantiates financial transaction using audited documents and performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Bachelor Degree from accredited college or university. Four (4) years experience in progressive professional-level of accounting. Knowledge, skills and abilities; computer literate with specialized knowledge in Microsoft Program (excel, access, outlook and word) and Accounting Software (Quickbooks and Peachtree), Knowledge in preparation of tax return, budget forecast, business and financial reports billing and collections, payroll and budgeting duties. Can compose correspondence and able to adhere to and meet reporting deadlines and can work with minimum supervision.

Comments: Anticipated schedule of work hours is 8:00am to 5:00pm with one (1) hour lunch break. Workers are offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday of employment up to the expiration of contract. Workers will be provided transportation & subsistence while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation & subsistence to the point of hire at the conclusion of the job opportunity.
