Job Duties: | Applicants must know the functions of Automotive, Heavy equipment & Power Generator parts and know the basic functions of various Tools & equipment related to the Industry. Applicant must have knowledge in converting units of measure. Determine sizes with precision measuring tools and Knowledge in Total Automated Management System. Read catalogs to determine new parts on market. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or based on customers' descriptions of malfunctions. Look over machine, product, or car to determine what part is needed. Recommend substitute parts or show customers how to modify parts. Examine parts for defects. Exchange defective parts. Take cash, check, or credit card for purchase and dispense change. Take inventory of stock and replenish when needed. Take orders over the phone. Sell parts to Garages, Retail shops, Truck and Bus companies, Fleet Customers and the public. To Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments to match with the similar parts. To mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system. Set up merchandise for display. Answer the customers' questions or problems. Use knowledge of machines and equipment to discuss the use and features of parts. Look up stock numbers and prices for parts in catalogs or on computers. Applicants must be able to lift Batteries or Heavy parts weighing from 50lbs to 100lbs to receive and deliver to the customers. Adhere to company safety standards at all times. Train and supervise the Parts personnel in sourcing the parts using various catalogs and assist them in finding the parts. To perform other duties assigned by the management. |
