Job Title: HEAVY AND TRACTOR-TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER
Job Duties: • Safely operate a tractor-trailer or heavy commercial vehicle to transport freight, cargo, and goods between locations. Follow all federal traffic laws and regulations regarding vehicle inspection, operation, and maintenance. • Load and unload cargo into and out of the truck. Secure freight properly to prevent shifting during transport. • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is fit and safe for operation. Check tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, brakes, and trailer connections. Report any issues to management. • Maintain records of your trips including delivery details, mileage, fuel usage, cargo manifests, inspections, etc. Provide records to logistics coordinators and accounting as requested. • Perform basic maintenance like tire pressure checks, fluid level checks, cleaning windshields, and general cleanup. Address any issues with the vehicle to keep it in good working order. • Secure and tarpaulin cargo as needed based on weather conditions and perishable goods. Ensure temperature control requirements are maintained for temperature-sensitive freight. • Emergency roadside assistance when needed. Flexibility to irregular delivery schedules. • Keep the truck and assigned equipment clean and maintain a professional appearance. • Follow all company policies regarding safe driving practices, cargo securing procedures, vehicle inspections, paperwork, and recordkeeping.

Qualification Requirements: MUST HAVE A VALID CNMI DRIVER'S LICENSE or COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE(CDL).12-MONTHS OF EXPERINCES.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
