Job Duties: | DESCRIBE TOUR POINTS OF INTEREST TO GROUP MEMBERS, AND RESPOND TO QUESTIONS. ESCORT INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS ON CRUISES, SIGHTSEEING TOURS, OR THROUGH PLACES OF INTEREST SUCH AS INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS, PUBLIC BUILDINGS, OR ART GALLERIES. CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES IF NECESSARY. MONITOR VISITORS' ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ESTABLISHMENT OR TOUR REGULATIONS AND SAFETY PRACTICES. PROVIDE DIRECTIONS AND OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION TO VISITORS. GREET AND REGISTER VISITORS, AND ISSUE ANY REQUIRED IDENTIFICATION BADGES OR SAFETY DEVICES. DISTRIBUTE BROCHURES, SHOW AUDIOVISUAL PRESENTATIONS, AND EXPLAIN ESTABLISHMENT PROCESSES AND OPERATIONS AT TOUR SITES. RESEARCH VARIOUS TOPICS, INCLUDING SITE HISTORY, ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS, AND CLIENTS' SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO PLAN APPROPRIATE EXPEDITIONS, INSTRUCTION, AND COMMENTARY. SELECT TRAVEL ROUTES AND SITES TO BE VISITED BASED ON KNOWLEDGE OF SPECIFIC AREAS. DRIVE MOTOR VEHICLES TO TRANSPORT VISITORS TO ESTABLISHMENTS AND TOUR SITE LOCATIONS. COLLECT FEES AND TICKETS FROM GROUP MEMBERS. ASSEMBLE AND CHECK THE REQUIRED SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. PROVIDE FOR PHYSICAL SAFETY OF GROUPS, PERFORMING SUCH ACTIVITIES AS PROVIDING FIRST AID OR DIRECTING EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS. TRAIN OTHER GUIDES AND VOLUNTEERS. PERFORM CLERICAL DUTIES, SUCH AS FILING, TYPING, OPERATING SWITCHBOARDS, OR ROUTING MAIL AND MESSAGES. SOLICIT TOUR PATRONAGE AND SELL SOUVENIRS. Qualification Requirements: | Applicant must have 24 months of experience in the same position and industry. Must speak fluent Korean and English to communicate with mostly Korean Tourists. Customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are a must - This pertains to an applicant's ability to express themselves, answer clients' inquiries and impart information, historical or otherwise, vital to a client's understanding of a tour site or location. If during the interview an applicant is unable to give a proper answer to at least 3 out of 5 general CNMI tourist inquiries, then he fails this requirement. Applicant must be hardworking, able to multi task and work even under pressure. Must be able to maintain cooperative attitude under stressful circumstances. Applicant must be willing to work flexible time, weekends and holidays when necessary. Able to drive and must have a valid driver's license. Applicants are required to submit their resume, copy of their driver's license and employment certification showing the required work experience. These requirements will be applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign. Work hours will be between 6:00am and 8:00pm for at least 5-6 hours per day and a total of 35 hours per week. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position for one (1) Tour Guide for Dong Boo Corporation. The work schedule will be from Tuesday to Sunday, between 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM; 6 hours per day from Wednesday to Sunday and 5 hours on Tuesday.
