Job Title: | Automotive Glass Installers and Repairers |
Job Duties: | Remove all dirt, foreign matter, and loose glass from damaged areas, apply primer along windshield or window edges, and allow primer to dry. Allow all glass parts installed with urethane ample time to cure, taking temperature and humidity into account. Apply a bead of urethane around the perimeter of each pinch weld and dress the remaining urethane on the pinch welds so that it is of uniform level and thickness. Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts, according to job requirements. Obtain windshields or windows for specific automobile makes and models from stock and examine them for defects prior to installation. Check for and remove moisture or contamination in damaged areas and keep areas dry until repairs are complete. Replace all moldings, clips, windshield wipers, or other parts that were removed prior to glass replacement or repair. Remove broken or damaged glass windshields or window glass from motor vehicles, using hand tools to remove screws from frames holding glass. Using the shop tinting software program to input the vehicle window specifications. Applying window primer before fitting the tint. Cutting tint using authorized techniques. Applying and smoothing tint onto vehicle windows. Stripping and removing old window tinting. Maintaining a clean and tidy work area. |

Comments: | (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION. This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position, commencing on October 01, 2023 to September 30, 2024 (2) WORK HOURS. Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment at least thirty-five (35) hours per week. (3) THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE. Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the work days of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE. The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. (6) RECRUITMENT INFORMATION.
