Job Duties: | 1. Responsible for creating custom garments & clothing. They may work on a wide range of projects from simple alterations to completely new designs. 2. Ordering supplies & materials needed for projects, including fabric, buttons, thread, and other materials. 3. Communicating with clients about design details, fabric options, and pricing information. 4. Taking measurements and drafting a pattern based on the client's measurements and style preferences. 5. Sewing garments according to the client's measurements and specifications. 6. Sewing garments together using sewing machines and other equipment. 7. Stitching hems and seams, and sewing buttons and other fasteners onto garments 8. Adding embellishments such as lace, beads, or sequins to garments. 9. Cutting fabric into patterns based on customer specifications and making alterations as needed. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside in Saipan to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5x the rate indicated on the JVA. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law only. The employer guarantees under paragraph 655.423(f) to offer each employee employment for a total number of hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first date of need whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under subsection 655.423 (f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence after the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1).
