| Job Title: | SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER (NOT SPECIAL AND CAREER/TECHNICAL EDUCATION) |
| Job Duties: | 1. Provide instruction at the Secondary School level in the following classes: Fundamental Math, Algebra I, and Geometry. 2. Create lesson plans for high school mathematics classes that are appropriate for the age and abilities of the students in the class. 3. Evaluate student performances in class and on tests and provide feedback. 4. Assign special projects to students. 5. Communicate students’ progress to parents, particularly regarding students who need tutoring or other extra assistance. 6. Provide appropriate resources and learning materials for students. 7. Identify varying teaching methods that work best for students who learn differently. 8. Develop and update curriculum for the classroom. 9. Conduct research. 10. Encourage creativity in students. 11. Ensure that computer equipment is functioning properly. 12. Maintain accurate records of student’s progress in class and on examinations. 13. Keep order in the classroom and handle student behavior issues in accordance with school system policies. 14. Maintain an orderly classroom stocked with appropriate supplies. 15. Run the classroom within the allocated budget. 16. Keep all classroom work backed up. 17. Ensure that the internet in the classroom is used only for appropriate educational purposes. 18. Post grades and sends grade reports to parents as required by the school system. 19. Chinese language skills are preferred, as the school instructs both native English and Chinese-speaking students |
