Job Title: Maintenance and Repair Workers, General
Job Duties: Maintain and repair school buildings, classrooms, machines and mechanical equipment. Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of split type air conditioning units by using manifold gauge, digital tester, ampere meter and vacuum pump. Fix and replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, circuit breakers, light fixtures, ballasts and lightbulbs by using multi tester, ampere meter tester and screwdriver. Perform troubleshooting and repairing of refrigerators by replacing heater, relay, timer, or refrigerant charging by using manifold gauge and multi tester. Perform troubleshooting and repairing of water heater and electric stove and oven by using digital multi tester. Perform preventive maintenance of two units 50 KVA generators by changing oil, replacing air, oil and oil filter and doing a prime before starting the generators. Maintain fire alarm system and diagnose problem on siren and strobe light sensors by using digital multi tester. Maintain and repair water pumps by using multi tester and fix plumbing problems by installing and replacing faucets, commodes, shower head, float valve, broken pipe, sink, drain pipe, and p-trap by using hand tools. Perform mixing concrete to patch walls and ceilings by using trowels. Replace ceramic or vinyl tiles, doors, door knobs, and hinges by using hand tools. Fix and paint roofs and walls.

Qualification Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or have a 2-year college degree. Must have at least two years work experience as Maintenance and Repair Worker, General in order to maintain and repair school buildings and classrooms. Must have knowledge on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of split type air conditioning units and refrigerator. Must have knowledge on preventive maintenance of generators. Must have knowledge on how to fix minor electrical and plumbing problems. Must have knowledge on how to use manifold gauge, digital tester, ampere meter, vacuum pump and hand tools.

Comments: Three-Fourths Guarantee: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes the 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
