Job Title: Welder
Job Duties: Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plan equipment, mobile homes, motors and operators according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. May locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and gas torch.
High School Diploma Required? No
Qualification Requirements: Minimum two (2) years experience as a Welder

Fringe Benefits: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects and projects covered by Davis Bacon, Service Contracts Act, and/or Executive Order 14206 will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special rates apply; Round-trip airfare for off-island hire; Food and lodging provided @ $80.00 per week; local transportation from employer’s designated lodging facility to/from jobsite; and employer/employee-paid medical insurance provided.
