| Job Duties: | Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; HVAC maintenance; insulating; welding; machining; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment. Install or repair healing, central air conditioning, or refrigeration systems, and other electronics home appliances such as washers, dryers. Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution. Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment, components or wiring. Repair or service heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants. |

MUST HAVE CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING IN A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL. KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRONIC ITEMS AND HOME EQUIPMENT KNOWS HOW TO DO TROUBLESHOOT WITH SKILLS IN USING LOGIC AND REASONING TO IDENTIFY THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF ALTERNATE SOLUTIONS. CONCLUSIONS OR APPROACHES TO PROBLEMS, MUST BE FAMILIAR AND KNOW HOW TO USE HAND TOOLS, POWER TOOLS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT. |
