| Job Title: | Reinforcing Metal Worker |
| Job Duties: | Position and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms in order to reinforce concrete and to manufacture precast concrete structures. Use a variety of fasteners, rod-bending and cutting machines and hand tools. Cuts and bends reinforcing bars for readiness at project site or at precast yard. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Special wage rate: Work to be performed on projects where special rates are mandated (e.g. Davis-Bacon), will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate, but may be paid more where such special rates apply. |
