Job Title: | Elevator Installer Technician |
Job Duties: | Helps and assist elevator installers with various work such as installation of guide rail, entrance, machine, controller, wiring, and hoistway. Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other work areas such as customer's site of elevator. Help and assist with the installation or replacement of machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments. Helps and assist with the adjustment of counterweights, door mechanisms, and safety controls under the direction of the elevator installers. Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning. Help elevator installers perform required safety testing for initial inspections. Also assists in unloading and moving of other equipment, lifting and holding materials and tools for other workers. |

Qualification Requirements: | Job requires 12 months of training or work experience in the same or similar occupation(s). High school or GED required. Job requires employee to work some holidays, nights, and flexible hours to help and assist elevator installers to install, repair or maintain elevators of clients at emergency or little notice. Job duties require standing, walking, lifting and unloading. Must obtain CNMI drivers license. Police clearance, driving history/record, or background check required. Police clearance, driving history/record, and drivers license requirements all apply equally to U.S. workers and CW-1 workers. Other worksites are: (1) Kanoa Resort Hotel Beach Road, Susupe Village, Saipan; (2) Crowne Plaza Hotel, Coral Tree, Ave, Garapan Village, Saipan; (3) Kensington Hotel, Chalan Pale Arnold, San Roque Village, Saipan; (4) Grand V. Rio Hotel, Beach Road, Garapan Village, Saipan; (5) World Resort Hotel, Beach Road, Susupe Village, Saipan; and (6) Himawari Saipan, Inc., Garapan Village, Saipan. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the regular rate of pay, as indicated on the JVA. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law, as well as other deductions for selected optional employee benefits, including housing and food. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal and Commonwealth laws and regulations. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned.
