| Job Title: | Heavy Equipment Mechanic |
| Job Duties: | Diagnose, adjust, repairs, and overhauls mobile mechanical, electrical, construction, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, such as bulldozers, graders, conveyors, dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment. Repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Tests mechanical and electrical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications. Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. *Special wage rate: Work to be performed on projects where special rates are mandated (e.g. Davis-Bacon), will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate, but may be paid more where such special rates apply. |
