Job Title: Waiter and Waitress
Job Duties: Duties & Responsibilities • Greet, seat and present menus to customers. • Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations upon request. • Take orders and enter into the Micros system for transmittal to the kitchen staff. • Check customer’s identification to ensure that they meet the age requirements for the consumption of alcoholic beverages. • Prepare hot, cold, wine and mixed drinks. Serve selections with appropriate glasses and pour wines for customers. • Prepare table for meals (e.g.; linens, silverware, glassware). • Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable. • Follow health code standards on the safe handling of food. • Prepare check of itemize and total meal costs and collect payment from customers. • Clean tables and/or counters and take them to the dishwashing area for cleaning. • Prepare food preparation duties (e.g.; garnishment prep, fruits and soup setup). • For mise en place assignments, setup the dispatching area. • Frequently check in with customers to ensure a great dining experience and correct any issues encountered. • Ensure service areas are fully stocked with supplies (i.e.; water, coffee and its condiments, ice, straws, napkins and cutleries). • Fill salt, pepper, coffee condiments, other condiments and napkin holders. • Perform other food preparation duties (e.g.; preparing salads, appetizers and cold dishes, portioning desserts and brewing coffee). • Perform daily inventory of drinks and supplies and report low inventory to the shift supervisor. • For cashiering assignments, prepare computer and count the change funds at the start of the shift. At closing, close sales and count funds. • Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant and storage areas at all times. • Prepare all stations for the next shift. • Serve food and drinks during all private and special functions. • All other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Qualifications • High school diploma or its equivalent. • Minimum of 3 months previous work related experience. • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.

Comments: TEMPORARY FULL-TIME POSITIONS First Date of Need: 10/1/2023 Expiration Date: 9/30/2024 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the work at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes fifty percent of the work contract period, the employer, will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or whether the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of the transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: Available workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. EMPLOYER PROVIDED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Workers will be provided, without charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
