Job Title: | Warehouse Worker |
Job Duties: | Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on a computer. Mark stock items, using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location, based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs. Determine the sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability. Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability. Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents for such purchases. Drives truck to pick up incoming supplies. Operate equipment such as forklifts. The employee will pick up stocks from the freight forwarding company if there is an urgency to use the incoming stocks (i.e. run out of flour ingredients to bake goods). The employee will drive a Ford Transit 250 Cargo Van that weights 5235 which does not require a special license. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must obtain certification in forklift operation. Must obtain a post-employment offer of food handler's certification from the CNMI Department of Public Health. Must be able to lift, carry, and deliver heavy products of up to 50 pounds. Must have basic math skills to weigh, measure, and convert using Metric conversion. Must possess a valid CNMI-issued Driver's License. Must agree to post-offer pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing equally applied to both US and CW-1 workers. Must not have any driving violations within the last three (3)years and must agree to provide a post-offer pre-employment police clearance record which is equally applied to both US and CW-1 workers. Must have at least twelve (12) months of experience as a Warehouse worker, delivery driver, and/or similar occupations. |

Comments: | Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
