| Job Title: | Respiratory Therapist |
| Job Duties: | Performs all modes of respiratory therapy procedures and related duties, including treatment, ventilator support, arterial blood gas analysis, diagnostic procedures, code blue emergency response, routine equipment maintenance and quality control. Provides and implements ventilator support for infants, children and adults. Performs all modes of diagnostic testing as provided by the department such as Stress Test, Pulmonary Function Test and Holter Monitoring. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to established policy. Maintains respiratory equipment, including cleaning and reassembly. Documents on patient records and department forms according to established policy. Provides respiratory care related duties for off-island medical transports of patient as assigned. Performs in-service training and patient instruction as required. |
