Job Title: General Maintenance Worker
Job Duties: Perform repairs as required on all ground support equipment units mechanical and electrical discrepancies. Perform weld repairs on all ground support equipment unit body structures. Perform corrosion treatment and general painting works. Carry out the daily servicing on all ground support equipment motorized units. Reports to or consults with Senior Ground Support Equipment Supervisor on any technical concerns. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent or postsecondary courses in automotive repair, and electronics. Work Experience: One-year work experience as a General Repair Mechanic or Maintenance Mechanic. Must be aware of small details when inspecting or repairing engines and components, because mechanical and electronic malfunctions are often due to misalignments and other easy-to miss causes. Mechanics need a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination for many tasks, such as disassembling engine parts, connecting, or attaching components, and using hand tools. Must be familiar with engine components and systems and know how they interact with each other. They often disassemble major parts for repairs, and they must be able to put them back together properly. Must be able to lift (up to 70lbs. or more) heavy parts and tools, handle greasy or dirty equipment, and work in uncomfortable positions. They may have to stand for long periods or lift heavy objects. These workers may work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments, in uncomfortable or cramped positions.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on December 1, 2023 to September30, 2024. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contractor in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
