Job Title: Civil Engineering Technicians
Job Duties: 1.CONFER WITH OTHER PERSONNEL TO RESOLVE DESIGN OR OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS. 2.CONFER WITH TECHNICAL PERSONNEL TO PREPARE DESIGNS OR OPERATIONAL PLANS. 3.CREATE GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIONS OF CIVIL STRUCTURES. 4.ESTIMATE OPERATIONAL COSTS. 5.ESTIMATE TECHNICAL OR RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OR PRODUCTION PROJECTS. 6.INSPECT FACILITIES OR SITES TO DETERMINE IF THEY MEET SPECIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS. 7.PREPARE DETAILED WORK PLANS. 8.PREPARE OPERATIONAL REPORTS. 9.PREPARE PROJECT BUDGETS. 10.REVIEW TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS TO PLAN WORK. 11.DEVELOPS PROJECT OBJECTIVES BY REVIEWING PROJECT PROPOSALS AND PLANS; CONFERRING WITH MANAGEMENT. 12.DETERMINES PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES BY IDENTIFYING PROJECT PHASES AND ELEMENTS; ASSIGNING PERSONNEL TO PHASES AND ELEMENTS. 13.DETERMINES PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS BY STUDYING PRODUCT DESIGN, CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS, AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS; COMPLETING TECHNICAL STUDIES; PREPARING COST ESTIMATES. 14.DETERMINES PROJECT SCHEDULE BY STUDYING PROJECT PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS; CALCULATING TIME REQUIREMENTS; SEQUENCING PROJECT ELEMENTS. 15.MAINTAINS PROJECT SCHEDULE BY MONITORING PROJECT PROGRESS; COORDINATING ACTIVITIES; RESOLVING PROBLEMS. 16.CONTROLS PROJECT PLAN BY REVIEWING DESIGN, SPECIFICATIONS, AND PLAN AND SCHEDULE CHANGES; RECOMMENDING ACTIONS. 17.MAINTAINS SAFE AND CLEAN WORKING ENVIRONMENT BY ENFORCING PROCEDURES, RULES, AND REGULATIONS. 18.CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT BY ACCOMPLISHING RELATED RESULTS AS NEEDED
