Job Title: Welder
Job Duties: Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Weld components including pipe in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare layout and determine dimensions and materials required. Recognize, set-up, and operate hand and power tools common to welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Has maintained the welding test requirements of Section 4 of the ANSI/AWS code and has current welding certification.
