| Job Duties: | : Uses hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products. Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits. Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts prior to assembly using straight-hedges, combinations squares, calipers, and rulers. Examines work pieces and defects, and measures work pieces with straight-hedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. ***Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects and projects covered by Davis Bacon, Service Contracts Act, and/or Executive Order 14206 will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special rates apply.*** |
