Job Duties: Operates machine with keyboard identical to keypunch machine to transcribe data onto magnetic tape or computer input. Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Examine codes on forms and source documents to determine work procedure. Positions reel of magnetic tape on spindle and clips source documents to copy holder. Remove completed reel, marks and attached identifying label, set reel, source documents aside for verification by co workers. Encodes received / issued material on a daily basis. Reports information discrepancies between actual and invoice and follow up correctional action. Direct shipment invoice preparation. Store completed documents in appropriate locations. Select materials needed to complete work assignments. Generates receiving / issuance report per transaction. Familiar with variou Computer program such as Peachtree, Quickbook, Microsoft Word,Excel.Preferably knowledgeable in auto part. Other related duties such as to assist customer inquiries.
