| Job Duties: | Teach lessons, prepare materials, and provide activities in academic and social situations that implement the values of Saipan International School. Courses taught include the following science and math courses: Grade 6 - 12. An advance Degree in Science is required. Specific experience is required in the fields of Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Marine Biology, Chemistry and Physics. In addition the teacher is responsible for the teaching of Geometry and Algebra II/Trigonometry. This position is also requiered to coach Math Counts and Math Court after school programs. The coordination of the annual Science Olympics program for grade 6-12 is the responsbility of this person. Plan and developm grade appropiate curriculum with staff. Participate in staff development and meetings. Conduct assessment, keep records, and report progress of children on a quarterly basis. Plan extra-curricular functions and field trips for students. Submit reports to the Headmaster in a timely manner. Perform extra duties and activities that have been cooperatively developed by the principal and staff members. Contribute to the improvement of Saipan International Shcool. |
