| Job Duties: | The teacher is responsible for instruction and curriculum development for students in grade PK-3 through 12 in classes of Music and Mandarin. Teach lessons, prepare materials, and provide activities in academic and social situations that implement the values of Saipan International School. Courses taught include Music classes for grade Pk-3 in Music emphasizing Choral Music with instrumental support and High School level Mandarin Language Classes (Level ! through Advanced Placement Mandarin IV). Coordinate musical productions and assist in drama productions. Coordinate language competitions in Mandarin. Plan and develop grade appropriate curriculum with staff. Participate in staff development and meetings. Conduct assessment, keep records, and report progress of children on a quarterly basis. Plan extra-curricular functions and field trips for students. Submit reports to the principal in a timely manner. Perform extra duties and activities that have been cooperatively developed by the principal and staff members. Contribute to the improvement of Saipan International School. |
