| Job Duties: | Will perform the ff.duties under the direction of the Chief Cook. Coordinate and participate in preparations and serving of meals to locals and hotel guests. Prepare,season and cook soups,meats,vegetables,desserts, and other foodstuff in the hotel and restaurants. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe,sanitary food-handling practices. Cook all types of dishes (international or local) according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Observe and test foods to determine if been cooked sufficiently,using methods such as tasting,smelling,or piercing them with utensils. Weigh,measures and mix ingredients according to recipes. Substitute for or assists other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Regulate temperature of ovens,broilers,grills and roasters.Bake,roast,and steam meats,fish,vegetables and other foods. May order supplies,keep records and accounts, price items on menus,or plan menus.Does other various related duties and responsibilities as required and directed by the superiors. |
