Job Duties: Splice overhead, underground, or submarine multiple conductor transmission cable used in telephone and telegram communication and electric power transmission system. Climb utility poles or tower. utilizes truck and mounted lifts buckets or installed cable to gain access to defectrives cable connection using hacsaw. Cuts and peels lead shean and insulation from newly installed cable and conductor. Preparation to splicing, test (traces or phrase out) each conductor to identify corresponding conductors in adjoining cable section, according to electrical diagrams and specification. And other duties that may be arise related to the job classification stated.
