Job Duties: Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. Serves food or beverage to customer seated at counter; calls order to kitchen and pick up and serve order when it is ready. May prepare sandwiches, salad and other short order items. Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving. Itemizes and total check service or total take out transaction on cash register and accept payment. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. May perform other related duties such as cleaning the counter, tables and washing dishes.
