Job Duties: Supervises and coordinates acitivites of workers in Arts & Drafting and Educational Supplies Department. Responsible for selling different art materials and artist tools. Recommend and explain to the customer the workable range of materials and price that the customer can be comfortable with. Help/assist the client in understanding that the most important factor in the choice of matl's is not that of price but of whether the art products he's buying will work. Answer accurately all questions re: pigment purity, brilliance, permanence as well as surface characteristics of the various art color mediums. Demonstrate and give various cleaning and maintenance techniques or methods on the proper care of artist tools. Possess adequate knowledge of the various painting techniques in order to understand and service the customers better and more efficiently.
