| Job Duties: | To perform basic to advance janitorial cleaning. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Gather and empty trash. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Employer Preference: High school graduate or equivalent to (3) months of janitorial experience. Must be able to read,write and communicate in English. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate a variety of cleaning equipment/machines, such as buffer machine,shampoo extrator, presure water and vacuum equipments. O-Net: Title Job Zone One: Little or No Preparation Needed Overall Experience No previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed for these occupations. For example, a person can become a cashier even if he/she has never worked before. Job Training Employees in these occupations need anywhere from a few days to a few months of training.
